Sunmi (born Lee Sun-mi) is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and dancer. She first rose to fame as a member of the girl groups Wonder Girls and later, as a solo artist. She was born on May 2, 1992, in Iksan, South Korea.

Sunmi debuted as a member of Wonder Girls in 2007 and became known for her powerful vocals and charismatic performances. After leaving the group in 2010 to pursue further studies, she made her solo debut in 2013 with the single "24 Hours." Since then, she has released multiple hit songs such as "Gashina," "Heroine," and "Noir."

Sunmi is known for her unique fashion sense and bold, confident stage presence. She has also been recognized for her songwriting skills and has co-written several of her own songs. Over the years, Sunmi has received numerous awards and nominations for her music, including multiple wins at the Mnet Asian Music Awards and the Golden Disc Awards.
